Ike picked up his first guitar at age 5. As a child, he was introduced to classic guitar rock bands by his father. A guitar player himself, Ike's father played bands for him like the Yard Birds, Jeff Beck Group, Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix Experience and The Beatles. He absorbed all those great songs and found he had a natural talent because after dad taught him how to tune his guitar,he was easily able to apply the sounds he heard to his instrument. And thats when it all started.
At age 11, Ike's father brought him to local blues jams and was introduced to Steve Katz (rip), Jerry Solomon and Charlie Smith. They would call him up to play and Ike's been doing it ever since.
